Unframed

‘The Horses’ is a portrait of two horses I came across on a country walk. I wanted to convey a tender moment which conveys the strength and gentleness of both creatures.

The printed image measures 30cm x 20cm and is created from two panels of Japanese vinyl linocut, printed by hand, using relief ink. I used a piece of cloth and the blunt end of a pencil to add detail to the background.
